This town has a good History and culture to see.There are many places to visit and to tour.Long hours can be spent on the sea beaches as well. There are also vast selections of shops and restaurants where shopping for some exclusive items can be done. Concerts are performed on the Paseo de la Explanada during Sunday mornings, bank holidays and even every afternoon.

Algar waterfalls are near Alicante City and a good picnic spot to be visited along with Children.
The nightlife are the great attractions ,the festival of Alicante and also the historiacal Municipal Museum that is the Casa de la Asegurada municipal museum. The building is built during the 17th century, containing art collections of 20th century by artists like Picasso, Miro and Gris. You will highly regard the Provincial Archeological Museum located at the Palace of the Provincial Council.

After the museums you can also visit the Santa Barbara Castle where you can see the Museo de les Fogueres.Here, you will see the majestic paper Mache sculptures and  real works of art, taking several months to create and be burned to a flameless ember.

There are a lot of walkways, palmed gardens and recreational parks at Alicante, making it a wonderful destination to have a vacation.

An Alicante sight includes an attractive seafront of Paseo de la Explanada, 7 km of golden sand beach with excellent restaurants and shops. With just a 2,5 hour flight, Alicante can be reached easily by nearby European country’s like London. There is no excellent place to visit than the Paseo de la Explanada if you want to drink your café con leche while watching people passing by.

Alicante today was known as Lucentum during the Roman period. It was developed following the Moors harmful invasion. On the other hand, Alicante´s huge development took place not until the 19th century. Today, Alicante is the second biggest city of Valencia region. When its primitive walls were tore down in1821, the whole town failed to expand. In 1851, Alicante soon became the principal harbor of Madrid where its first coastal town was connected to Madrid by means of a railway.
